WHERE DO WE FISH IN THE GULF OF MAINE?
WHALE FEEDING AREAS AND HISTORIC GULF OF MAINE FISHING GROUNDS
ARE THE DESTINATION ON OUR OFFSHORE SPORT FISHING TRIP

We fish for Codfish and Haddock
with CAPTAIN JEFF RITTER going 40-60 miles offshore
to one of the famous Gulf of Maine fishing grounds, commonly
Platts Bank, Three Dory Ridges, Sigsbees or Jeffreys Ledge.
CAPTAIN JEFF RITTER
Weather permitting; the boat will go where the fish are known to be biting.
These trips are all day due to the distance offshore and are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The price is $135 per person for up to 14 persons
depending on the location to be fished.
To catch fish of any size these days boats need to go offshore 40 miles or more.
Don't settle for a shorter trip when fishing for Codfish.
Fishing Gear
IS provided on our trips if needed. We recommend you have something substantial to fish with.
Bring that stiff rod and up to a Penn 113H with 50 lb test line of your choice.
Spectra Braided Line gets down fast and provides the positive hooking pressure
you need at the 180+ ft depths we fish.
Large Diamond jigs are required for this type of fishing.
